Start the LSO season off right with a pre-Oktoberfest evening of J.S. Bach and friends, in an atmosphere that evokes the coffee-house atmosphere of Bach's own chamber-music evenings back in the day! Two of his all-time favorite Brandenburg Concertos -- with two of our own LSO artists -- and from our own time, an Aaron Copland rarity -- think of "Appalachian Spring", all grown up -- all in the classy-casual atmosphere of the Cappella Performing Arts Center. And as old Johann Sebastian would surely not object to your having a beverage.......we start off with a sweet Sinfonia by his colleague Heinichen! A perfect and convivial way to welcome in a new Symphony season, as we spotlight many of our finest musicians! Cabaret seating available!
